A Very Late Day Two and Three

I'm writing this blog pretty late. At first I was pretty busy, then a week went by, then on Friday the 27th, my best friend of 17 years passed.

     Rest in Peace Nakomi.
 A moment of silence.

So, for this day my workout increased. Adding weights today.
I did 45 minutes on the treadmill, not bad.
For my biceps I lifted 60 pounds. For the leg extention weights, I did 60 pounds as well. And the last weights I did was my lower back at 175 pounds.

I'll also posted my mini workout for today 7-30-12.

Jack and me took a walk around 2 blocks. It took about 30 minutes.

Day 1

I'm afraid my blogs won't be terribly exciting, however, sharing my story of training for and participating in the Spartan Race will help me to achieve my goal. My name is Rachel and this is the day I change my life. Eating less and eating right with proper exercise will build me up to where I need to be. I'm 5'0 in height and 160 in weight. I used to lift bricks, stones, rocks, etc for a living. Now, I sit at a desk for my job. 


But! Not is all bad. Day 1 of training has started and just changing the way I think and a walk.


My walk lasted 20 minutes with my mom and two dogs, Nakomi and Jack. I already feel good. This will happen until I can push myself to 30 minutes with my mom. I know I want to do this race, but, I want to help my mom in the process. We will do it together until my training builds up to the point where I walk with my mom then continue on afterwards. 


Day 1 - 20 minute walk
